Karen graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a master’s degree in nursing and achieved her Florida Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Karen holds an autonomous family nurse practitioner license and has more than 20 years of experience in health care to include teaching in nursing programs as an adjunct instructor and more than 20 years of critical care experience working throughout South Florida. Karen is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the national honor society Sigma Theta Tau lota Xi, and was given the Leadership Excellence Award from FAU Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing. Karen and her family have lived in Port St. Lucie since 1986 and she has been serving her community by providing excellence in healthcare and education. Karen and her family enjoy bike riding, kayaking, boxing, jiu jitsu and gardening.
